About me
Sthira sukham āsanam - posture is steadiness and ease
Patañjali’s words have shaped the way I understand yoga practice: as something that supports real life rather than asks us to step outside of it. I’m inspired by lunar cycles, philosophy, and the deeper teachings of yoga - but I’m also a mum of two with a busy day job who knows exactly how full and unpredictable life can be. My background in therapy and my experience as a working mum mean I understand both the science of wellbeing and the reality of trying to fit self-care into an already crowded day. That balance of steadiness and ease is what I bring to my teaching.
I teach a weekly Hatha Flow class in Faversham, pop up at local studios, and offer 1:1 sessions for students who want personalised guidance. My approach spans Hatha, Vinyasa, and Yin, and I’ve developed my own style of Lunar Yoga - seasonal, intuitive movement that shifts with the energy of each moon phase, blending dynamic flow with quieter practices that help us come back to ourselves.
As Yin teacher Bernie Clark reminds us, we don’t use the body to get into the pose; we use the pose to get into the body. That sentiment sits at the centre of how I teach.
Whether you’re brand new to practice or returning after time away, there is space here for you. The Bhagavad Gītā describes yoga as “the journey of the self, through the self, to the self,” and I believe that journey looks different for every person and every season of life.
Deep roots, light heart
I live and teach in Faversham, where ancient wisdom meets the realities of modern living. I completed my 200-hour Hatha and Vinyasa training with RILA Yoga, a Yoga Alliance-accredited school.
